I was asked about you today.
They asked if I’d heard anything from you;
What you were up to next.
And it got me thinking:
They think we’re closer than we actually are.

And it’s nice,
And it’s sweet.
But it’s painful because it’s not true.
But you tell me about your work,
And we talk every once in a while.

But is it selfish to want more?
