An Untitled Poem

I lay flowers for you,
While smiling sadly up at the sky.
It was something I was supposed to do,
But instead I leave it all behind –
The feeling of dread,
As I lay in bed;
Remembering the last time,
That we met.

I lay flowers for you,
Say goodbye,
And watch them take you away.
But I’ll never forget the time we had together.
You’ll be in my heart forever.
